Pell serves as one of the two captains of the royal guard of Alabasta, sworn to protect the kingdom and the Nefertari family.
Devoted utterly to his king and to Princess Vivi, he is among the most trusted protectors of the desert kingdom.
Story & Growth
When Crocodile's schemes pushed Alabasta toward civil war and ruin, Pell fought to defend his homeland to the very end.
In the crisis's darkest moment, Pell flew an enormous bomb high into the sky to shield the capital from its blast — an act of self-sacrifice from which, to everyone's astonishment, the tough old falcon survived.
