Background & Origin
Lucci first appeared as a member of CP9, the World Government's covert assassination unit, posing for years as a humble shipwright in Water 7 while quietly gathering intelligence.
Even among killers, Lucci stood apart — a cold, utterly ruthless operative who believed completely in the 'Dark Justice' of eliminating any threat to the Government.
Story & Growth
Lucci's mission collapsed at Enies Lobby, where he was defeated by Luffy in a brutal duel — a loss that saw him cast out of CP9 in disgrace.
Yet he clawed his way back. Within two years he was reinstated into the World Government's most secretive agency of all, CP0, returning as a more dangerous agent than ever.
Abilities & Powers
Lucci ate a Zoan-type Devil Fruit, the Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Leopard, letting him transform into a leopard or a powerful human-beast hybrid form.
He is also a master of Rokushiki, the World Government's superhuman martial art, and has shown command of Haki — a combination that makes him one of the most lethal hand-to-hand fighters in the world.
