Background & Origin

Kuma was once a king and, alongside Dragon and Ivankov, one of the founding members of the Revolutionary Army, fighting against the World Government's oppression.

Later he accepted a place among the Seven Warlords of the Sea — a cover that masked a far darker arrangement. The scientist Vegapunk used Kuma as the prototype for the 'Pacifista', a line of cyborg human weapons.

Story & Growth

Piece by piece, the Government converted Kuma's body and finally his mind into a weapon, stripping away his free will, his personality and his memories.

Before the last of him was lost, Kuma used his power for one final act of his own choosing: at the Sabaody Archipelago he scattered the Straw Hat Pirates across the world — an act that looked like an attack, but secretly saved them from a battle they could not have survived.

Abilities & Powers

Kuma ate the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, the 'Paw-Paw Fruit', which gives him paw-pads that can repel absolutely anything — attacks, air, even pain or people, sending them flying for days across the world.

As a completed Pacifista, his cyborg body also carries the immense durability and built-in laser weaponry of Vegapunk's human weapons.
