Background & Origin

Hawkins earned the nickname 'the Magician' and a place among the rookie Supernovas at the Sabaody Archipelago.

A fatalist who measures everything in percentages, he constantly draws tarot cards to read the probability of survival, success and death — and tends to side with whichever path the odds favour.

Story & Growth

In the New World, Hawkins judged that his best chance of survival lay in submitting to the Emperor Kaido, and so he became one of Kaido's subordinate officers in Wano.

He served Kaido's regime until the raid on Onigashima, where he was finally defeated and the percentages ran out.

Abilities & Powers

Hawkins ate the Wara Wara no Mi, a Paramecia Devil Fruit that turns his body to straw and grants eerie, voodoo-like powers.

He can craft straw voodoo dolls that transfer the damage he takes onto other people, and can sprout a towering straw-man form bristling with blades — making him as unsettling to fight as he is to predict.
