Background & Origin
Drake was once a Marine, the son of a Marine, who left the Navy to become a pirate and founded the Drake Pirates. He earned his place among the rookie Supernovas at the Sabaody Archipelago.
But his defection was never what it seemed: Drake is in truth the leader of SWORD, a secret Marine unit operating undercover, far outside the Navy's official chain of command.
Story & Growth
Drake infiltrated the Beasts Pirates in Wano, rising to the rank of one of Kaido's elite officers — the 'Tobiroppo' — while gathering intelligence from within.
When the raid on Onigashima began, he dropped his disguise and turned on the Beasts Pirates, fighting alongside the Wano alliance to help bring Kaido down.
