Bartolomeo earned a fearsome, hated reputation as the captain of the Barto Club, a rookie pirate notorious for his crude and ruthless behaviour.

But beneath that fearsome image lies a secret: Bartolomeo is, above all, an obsessive and starry-eyed fan of the Straw Hat Pirates — and of Luffy in particular.

Story & Growth

Bartolomeo finally met his idols at the Dressrosa tournament, where he fought through the contest while doing everything he could to help Luffy from the shadows.

When Doflamingo fell, Bartolomeo's dream came true: he and the Barto Club swore loyalty to Luffy, joining the seven crews of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.
