Background & Origin

Sai is the grandson of Chinjao, the legendary head of the Happo Navy — a vast organisation of warriors from the Kano Country.

He was raised in the family's martial tradition, trained in the powerful Hasshoken fighting style passed down through the Chinjao line.

Story & Growth

Sai joined the great alliance that gathered at Dressrosa to bring down Donquixote Doflamingo.

When Doflamingo fell, Sai — by then the new patriarch of the Chinjao Family — pledged the Happo Navy to Luffy, making his thousand-strong fleet one of the seven crews of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.
