Dragon founded and leads the Revolutionary Army, a force dedicated to overthrowing the World Government and tearing down the corrupt rule of the Celestial Dragons. Where pirates chase treasure, Dragon seeks to remake the world itself.

He is the son of the Marine hero Garp and the father of Luffy — a single family that spans the Navy, the world's most wanted pirate, and its most wanted revolutionary.

Story & Growth

For all his infamy, Dragon has barely been seen on the page. He appears only at pivotal moments — shielding Luffy unseen in Loguetown, directing his army from the shadows — and then vanishes again.

Under his command the Revolutionary Army has grown into a force strong enough to openly challenge the World Government, liberating oppressed kingdoms one by one.
