Background & Origin
Ashura Doji, also called 'Shutenmaru', was once a bandit who terrorised the mountains of Wano.
He was won over by the lord Kozuki Oden, and became a retainer of the Kozuki family and one of Oden's Nine Red Scabbards — the most physically imposing of them all.
Story & Growth
After Oden's execution and the fall of Wano, a disillusioned Ashura returned to his old life of banditry, doubting that the rebellion would ever come.
But when the Kozuki cause rose at last, he rejoined his comrades. At the raid on Onigashima, Ashura Doji gave his life — sacrificing himself to save the other Scabbards from a traitor's scheme.
