Background & Origin

Denjiro was one of Kozuki Oden's most trusted retainers, a samurai of the Nine Red Scabbards.

Unlike his comrades, Denjiro was not sent into the future after Oden's death. He remained in Wano — and his grief at his lord's execution physically reshaped his very face.

Story & Growth

To survive and to prepare for the day of rebellion, Denjiro buried his identity completely, living for twenty years as 'Kyoshiro' — a powerful yakuza boss who appeared to serve the tyrant Orochi.

When the Kozuki rebellion finally rose, Denjiro cast off the disguise, revealing his true self and turning on Orochi at the decisive moment of the war for Wano.
