Background & Origin

Foxy leads the Foxy Pirates, a large and colourful crew built around his favourite pastime: the 'Davy Back Fight', a contest in which pirate crews gamble their own members against one another.

Using rigged games and his Devil Fruit, Foxy built his crew by repeatedly cheating his way to victory and stealing rival pirates.

Story & Growth

Foxy challenged the Straw Hats to a Davy Back Fight, a series of bizarre contests that ended with Luffy defeating him in a duel.

Though beaten, the irrepressible Foxy simply carried on as before — a recurring, comical figure whose pride is far harder to defeat than the pirate himself.

Abilities & Powers

Foxy ate the Noro Noro no Mi, a Paramecia Devil Fruit that lets him fire a beam of 'slow photons'.

Anything struck by the beam is slowed almost to a standstill for thirty seconds — letting Foxy land free hits, dodge attacks, and turn nearly any fight in his favour through sheer trickery.
