Black Maria holds the rank of Tobiroppo, one of the six elite officers of the Beasts Pirates ranked just below Kaido's three Calamities.

Within Wano Country she ran a pleasure house in the capital, using it as a base of influence while serving Kaido's regime.

Story & Growth

Black Maria took part in the Beasts Pirates' rule over Wano, and fought to defend Kaido's fortress during the raid on Onigashima.

There she clashed with the Straw Hats' archaeologist, Nico Robin — a battle that ended in Black Maria's defeat as the Wano alliance pressed forward.

Black Maria ate an Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit, the Kumo Kumo no Mi, Model: Rosamygale Grauvogeli, letting her transform into a giant prehistoric spider.
