Background & Origin
Shiliew served as the head jailer of Impel Down, the World Government's great undersea prison.
But he was too cruel even for that post: he killed prisoners for his own pleasure, and for it he was stripped of his rank and locked away on the prison's deepest level, among the worst criminals in the world.
Story & Growth
Shiliew's chance came during the chaos of Luffy and Blackbeard's invasion of Impel Down.
Released to help quell the riot, he instead betrayed the prison entirely, choosing to join the Blackbeard Pirates. He rose to become one of their Ten Titanic Captains, commanding a ship of the Emperor's fleet.
Abilities & Powers
Shiliew is a master swordsman, regarded as one of the very strongest fighters in the Blackbeard Pirates.
He later gained the power of the Suke Suke no Mi, a Paramecia Devil Fruit of invisibility — letting him vanish from sight entirely and strike unseen, a terrifying advantage for a killer of his skill.
