Background & Origin

Kong is a veteran Marine whose career stretches back across decades. In the era of the Pirate King he served as the Fleet Admiral of the Marines, the supreme commander of the Navy.

After his tenure he was promoted higher still, handing the title of Fleet Admiral to Sengoku and rising to the rank of Commander-in-Chief of the World Government.

Story & Growth

As Commander-in-Chief, Kong sits at the very top of the World Government's military and intelligence apparatus, his authority second only to the Five Elders.

After the Marineford war he made a quietly far-sighted decision — allowing the heroes Garp and Sengoku to step back without stripping their titles, so their legacies could keep inspiring and training the next generation of Marines.

Abilities & Powers

Kong's authority is staggering: command over the Marines, the Cipher Pol espionage agencies, and the World Government's other forces.

A former Fleet Admiral, he is also a formidable veteran fighter in his own right — but it is his position, near the summit of the world's power, that makes him truly dangerous.
