Background & Origin
Koby first appeared as a fearful chore-boy, pressed into service aboard the ship of the pirate Alvida and convinced he could never escape.
When Luffy arrived and freed him, Koby found the courage to chase his own dream: not piracy, but becoming a Marine — a force he believed could truly protect the weak.
Story & Growth
Koby threw himself into Marine training, and under the guidance of the hero Garp he rose quickly through the ranks. At the Marineford war he made his mark in an unforgettable moment, crying out for the senseless killing to stop even as the battle raged around him.
Since then he has only grown — joining the Marines' elite and earning a reputation as one of the most promising young officers in the Navy.
