Background & Origin
Niji is the second-born son of the Vinsmoke family, shaped — like all his brothers — by his father Judge's experiments into an emotionless super-soldier of Germa 66.
The modifications took fully in Niji, and of all the brothers he grew the cruellest, taking open pleasure in tormenting the 'failed' young Sanji.
Story & Growth
Niji's childhood cruelty toward Sanji was among the harshest of any of the family.
Yet at Whole Cake Island, when their lives were threatened by Big Mom, even Niji fought at Sanji's side — the Vinsmoke brothers standing together despite everything that lay between them.

Niji fights as 'Sparking Blue', wielding a form of electrokinesis that lets him strike with bursts of electricity.
