Background & Origin

Ichiji is the firstborn son of the Vinsmoke family, raised — like his brothers — through his father Judge's genetic experiments to be an emotionless super-soldier.

The modifications worked on Ichiji exactly as intended, leaving him a calm, ruthless and largely feelingless warrior of Germa 66.

Story & Growth

As a child, Ichiji was among the brothers who tormented the 'weak' young Sanji for keeping his human heart.

Yet even the Vinsmoke conditioning was not absolute. At Whole Cake Island, Ichiji and his brothers stood with Sanji against Big Mom's forces — a flicker of family loyalty surfacing in soldiers built to feel none.
