Background & Origin

Vivi was born the only princess of Alabasta, a kingdom of the Sandy Plains, and grew up loving her people deeply.

When the criminal organisation Baroque Works began secretly plotting to overthrow her country, Vivi did something no princess was expected to do: she went undercover, infiltrating the organisation as the agent 'Miss Wednesday' to uncover its hidden leader.

Story & Growth

Vivi's investigation led her to the Straw Hat Pirates, and she sailed with them — counted, for a time, as one of the crew — racing to stop a manufactured civil war from destroying Alabasta.

With the Straw Hats' help she exposed and defeated the mastermind Crocodile and saved her kingdom. Choosing her duty as a princess over a life at sea, she stayed behind — but the Straw Hats remain her friends for life.

Vivi is no warrior, but she is a capable fighter in her own style, wielding a pair of 'Peacock Slashers' — bladed wire weapons spun at high speed.
